If you spend much time posting to things like FFA lists, you will soon realize this causes one heck of a lot of return emails. Useless junk that you don't want to look at anymore. Technically it's not spam, as you did "ask" for it by submitting to the FFA, but it's just as annoying. And God help you if you posted to thousands at once using an automated tool with your primary email address (a mistake I made only once).
You can use any free email host (such as Hotmail), but this results in two problems: (a) Most email hosts will stop accepting emails when the mailbox is full, which results in a decline message being sent to the sender, which may result in your post being deleted and (b) some FFA lists require reply's and those tend to be lost in the shuffle of thousands of Autoresponder messages.
Well, now you can set up an email account on the web which will handle this for you.
Now you will get notified only of mail messages that require a confirmation or reply of some kind. All other messages will be deleted. So you can go ahead and submit to FFA lists and the like, and all of the junk Autoresponder emails excluding those that need to be confirmed will be deleted for you.
This should save you quite a bit of sorting and searching, or worse, not confirming those posts that need to be confirmed and thus losing the post.
